Problem that matters

“How do we maximise the benefits of online events for UK & international audiences in Covid conditions to ensure event impact and foster continuous engagement?”

Innovative solution

Apply the Social Impact Game for

  1. Purpose: Practitioners and other stakeholders in Financial Inclusion need to access and share knowledge to improve performance
  2. Plan: Use event on Digital ID to raise awareness, develop and implement an effective process for impactful online events, tailoring follow-up activities to ensure engagement
  3. People: engage with practitioners and other stakeholders to gather insights about their purpose, needs and interest in networking
  4. Practice: research into audience needs, developing process for engagement before, during and after event, and test methods for measuring social impact:
    • development of process for effective events
    • increased audience engagement compared with other online event (Covid conditions for both)
    • supplemented polls with Q&A interactions
    • developed training videos for FIF & FIF Africa to replicate process and improve on lessons learnt
  5. Performance:
    • Exceeded goal of 200 participants attendance by practitioners in ‘Digital Services at the Border’
    • Increase from 58% to 71% for prioritising financial inclusion in Digital ID
    • Increase from 75% to 94% of those who believe Digital ID will increase financial inclusion
    • 71% want follow-up interviews with Digital ID experts, a new feature for FIF activities
